The Care and Recovery Project

People and produce flourishing in an atmosphere of love.

What is Care and Recovery?

We aim to provide local unemployed people with a carefully structured and tailored programme.

Initially trainees discover their gift and take steps to use it within the team, keeping regular work hours and by being physically active.

Next, trainees are encouraged to use their gift through individual project work tailored to their skill set and personal preference.

Trainees then begin to take ownership of their work which increases the level of challenge and responsibility.

WE BELIEVE EVERYONE HAS A GIFT; A SEED THAT, FOR MANY, HAS NEVER BEEN FOUND.

Our programme builds relationships that allow each ‘seed’ to develop through 4 phases:

Trainees discover their gift and take steps to use it within a team, keeping regular work hours and by being physically active. Trainees start to believe they could positively impact society.

Trainees use their gift through project work that is tailored to each individual’s skill set and personal preference. Trainees address factors that prevent them from positively impacting society.

Trainees take ownership of their work which has increased in challenge and responsibility. Trainees start to overcome the factors that have prevented them from positively impacting society.

Trainees display higher levels of communication and experience a greater sense of personal well-being. Trainees positively impact society through employment, education or volunteering.

Growing

Time is spent working alongside our trainees, talking about what’s going on for all of us in our lives; willing to listen and to love. Often our trainees help each other find solutions to the barriers they are facing.

Overcoming Barriers

Our trainees come from a variety of backgrounds with many experiencing complex barriers to entering employment. Each trainee has open access to our support for at least the duration of their time on the programme.

Assessment

Every 4-6 weeks trainees complete a self-assessment where they score themselves in nine different development areas.

Trainees are encouraged to set holistic goals and we work with them towards achieving these, providing extra support when required.
